1:48 to 35mm Miniature Scale for 3D Printing
Convert 3D printed tabletop miniatures from 1:48 to 35mm. This STL scale calculator is designed for Warhammer, D&D, and tabletop gaming miniatures.
Slicer Setting
Uniform scale (XYZ locked)
The math
(35.0mm / 36.5mm) × 100 = 96.0%
Based on 175cm human baseline, eye-level measurement (160cm).
Scale baselines

- Target eye level 35.0mm Eye
- Scale factor 96.0%
When you need this
You need this when fitting oversized 1:48 heroes or monsters into a smaller 35mm regiment, or when printing 1:48 STL files for a 35mm game system. At only 4% difference, these scales can mix on the same table without looking wrong. Keep bases consistent and paint styles matched.
Source: 1:48
1:48 is the quarter-scale / aircraft and vehicle standard. Common for vehicles and aircraft. Figures in this scale are smaller than typical wargaming miniatures and are usually accessories to a vehicle kit rather than standalone game pieces. Common systems: US O-gauge trains, Bandai Star Wars kits, Aircraft model kits.
Note: 1:48 figures are often molded in soft vinyl rather than hard plastic. If 3D printing replacements, increase wall thickness for durability.
Target: 35mm
35mm is used by Star Wars: Legion (current), Kingdom Death, Scale 75. Popular with painters who want more canvas for freehand detail without entering true bust territory. Often sits between 32mm heroic and 40mm skirmish scales.
Note: 35mm is sometimes marketed as 'true 35mm' (realistic proportions) vs 'heroic 35mm' (exaggerated). Check before mixing.
Print notes
Set your slicer to 96.0%. FDM at 35mm benefits from a 0.2mm nozzle at 0.06mm layer height for faces.
